【Event Recap】 LEGO® Education STEAM Park Workshop for Kindergarten teachers
To support the development of early learning, Trumptech organised its series of hands-on kindergarten teacher’s workshops surrounding the colourful STEAM PARK set! Teachers can experience for themselves the power of the set in training kiddos’ imagination, creativity and expression, as well as building a solid foundation for continuous STEAM learning.
To make a start, teachers were given a simple set containing 6 pieces of yellow and red bricks, requiring them to create their “little duckling”. It may seem pretty simple but the presentation surprised everyone as the happy ducklings all come in different forms and shapes! This short exercise demonstrated the power of creation and LEGO’s uncountable possibilities!
From that, we introduced the 4C teaching approach through a “Build your dream park” activity! The set allows students to plan, to create and to build during the process, plus facilitates storytelling along the way. After that, they engaged with special parts like cogwheels and rollers to learn basic STEM concepts of gradient, probability and more!
The set enables different experiments and themed activities. For example, students can slide the mini car down the slope and observe the relationship between gradient and speed. These play-based learning activities enhance learning effectiveness and surely win the heart of kiddos in class.
Let us know if you would like to learn more about the pre-school learning possibilities with LEGO® Education!
