FIRST® LEGO® League Discover 2022-23

FLL Discover is designed for kindergarten students aged 4-6. Under the guidance of teachers, students utilize the LEGO® Education STEAM Park Set and the FIRST® LEGO® League Discover annual set to build models that solve energy-related problems. They present their learning outcomes through recorded videos.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Honorable Mrs. Lam Chui Ling, MH, JP, member of the Election Committee (Education), Dr. Leung Kit Ying, Assistant Professor at the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Ms. Tamsyn Sy, Principal of Joystem International Nursery and Kindergarten, for graciously serving as guests for this year's FLL Discover Awards Ceremony.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Joystem International Nursery and Kindergarten for providing their premises and supporting the competition, allowing the ceremony to run smoothly.

FIRST® LEGO® League Explore 2022-23

 FIRST® LEGO® League Explore Carnival 2022-23 was held with great success. Filled with laughter and memories, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our partners and teams for their full engagement. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Sun Hoi Directors' College for providing the venue, creating an arena where ideas and creativity could come together!

FIRST® LEGO® League Explore aims at encouraging students aged 6 to 10 to engage in the learning of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through theme-based project research, model design, and sharing activities.

FIRST® LEGO® League 2022-23, attracting a record-breaking 85 schools and nearly 150 teams from around the city. With its transformative approach to STEAM education, this competition represents the largest of its kind in the region following the global pandemic.

Students prepared for four critical aspects of the competition: The Robot Game, Innovation project, Robot Design, and Core Values. Through these segments, they had the chance to design and program robots, propose creative solutions to global issues, and present their projects to professional judges.

FIRST® LEGO® League 2022-23 was supported by multiple parties. Special thanks to our Strategic Partner the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, Co-organisers the Hong Kong Association for Computer Education (HKACE) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), IVE IT Discipline, THEi and venue sponsor IVE (Tsing Yi) of the Vocational Training Council of Hong Kong. Also many thanks to our supporting organisations which smoothened event operation by nominating students to be our event helper. They are Youth College International, Fukien Secondary School and 90th Kowloon Scout Group of the Scout Association of Hong Kong.
